If your pocket doesn’t stretch as far as Saffire, and you are looking for a spot of sense- soothing & serenity, then Piermont is certainly a welcome choice.

This sanctuary of understated luxury & comfort is hidden on Tasmania’s East Coast on approach to the Freycinet Peninsula.

Perfectly located as a base to explore the surrounding bushlands and wineries. The region is also enriched by local artsis & providores, winemakers and of course the excellent chefs at Piermont.

The 180 year old homestead has sweeping views across Oyster Bay with picture perfect views from the dining room. And our little stone cottage was perhaps the best location by the sea, with only the swishing dune grasses separating us from the waves landing rhythmically on the sands to the tune of the winds.

Even on bleak summer’s day, the landscape is almost poetic, with that kind of wild grey beauty which soothes the soul yet awakens the senses.

You will leave refreshed with salty hair and pleasantly satiated by the crunchy croissants perfectly baked by the in-house French chef.

A gem to remember!
