Itinerary:

Day 1 - Palermo: Collect your car and drive to your hotel in Palermo. Enjoy a welcome dinner. (D)

Day 2 - Palermo - Marsala - Erice: Depart for Marsala, the city renowned for its production of the wine of the same name. Enjoy a wine tasting, followed by lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon proceed to Erice, a magnificent medieval city in a spectacular hilltop setting. We recommend visiting the Pasticceria Maria Grammatico, an old pasty shop, to try some of the local delights. (B, L)

Day 3 - Pollina - Palermo: Morning departure for Pollina to visit a farmhouse. Have lunch and visit the farm. Discover how the ancient pastries and deserts were prepared with the slow food presidium, accompanied by some samples. Return to Palermo and explore the city at your leisure. We recommend you try the pastries at the Pasticceria Scimone which sells the famous cannoli and baba. (B, L)

Day 4 - Agrigento - Siracusa: Visit the old city of Argigento and enjoy lunch at the typical Trattoria Terra. In the afternoon take a guided tour of the Valley of the Temples, testament to the ancient Greek civilization in Sicily. (B, L)

Day 5 - Ragusa - Modica - Siracusa: Visit Ragusa, known for its Sicilian style Baroque architecture and explore the old and new cities at leisure. Proceed to Modica, the ancient capital of the country and famous for Aztec inspired chocolate and enjoy a tasting. Continue to Siracusa and enjoy dinner in the historical town centre of Ortigia. Day 6 - Siracusa - Mount Etna - Taormina: Continue to Taormina, stopping en route at a vineyard where prestigious wines are produced for a tasting accompanied by local produce. (B)

Day 7 - Taormina: Enjoy a guided tour of Taormina and visit the Greek theater. Rest of the day is at leisure. (B)

Day 8 - Taormina: Tour ends. (B)
