DAY 1: NEGOMBO

Your tour commences with an arrival transfer to your hotel in the seaside village of Negombo. (D)

DAY 2: NEGOMBO – HATTON

Depart Negombo and travel to Hatton for your hill country experience. Hatton is the gateway to the famed Adam’s Peak (Sri Pada), the epicentre of a pristine wilderness sanctuary and a pilgrimage site for Buddhists, Muslims and Christians alike. Arrive for your 4 night stay at Ceylon Tea Trails (Luxury). (B, D)

DAY 3: HATTON

Take in the Tea Trails “Tea Experience” with a resident tea planter demonstrating the age-old tea growing and making process which hasn’t changed in over a century. See the tea pluckers using the two leaves and a bud technique and visit the factory with its 100-year-old British designed machinery. Complete your experience with a tea tasting session of the different grades of Ceylon’s finest. Enjoy your afternoon with a delicious high-tea on the lawn. (B, L, D)

 

DAY 4: HATTON

For an active adventure for all levels you can jump on a bicycle for a scenic ride through the Bogawantalawa Valley. The unspoiled beauty of the valleys and hills create a terrific biking experience, and for those looking to test themselves further you can organise a longer ride with an experienced guide. A less energetic alternative is a relaxing game of lawn croquet on the grounds of your bungalow. (B, L, D)

 

DAY 5: HATTON

You have the option of climbing Adam’s Peak (December-May), a tour to the hill station of Nuwara Eliya, know as ‘Little England’ or visit the stunning Horton Plains National Park, a protected area in the central highlands with great walking tracks to World’s End and Baker’s Falls. (B, L, D)

 

DAY 6: HATTON – COLOMBO

Your hill country experience concludes with a departure transfer to Colombo Airport for your onward journey. (B)
